1、 About NOM Mark

Mexico Product Safety Certification is known as NOM（NORMAS OFICIALES MEXICANAS）Certification. Mexico begun to implemented energy consumption label system referring to 186 categories of electronics and electric appliances on the list in September 2011..
nProduct safety certification
All relevant products exported to Mexico should meet Mexican standard requirements.
The most common used certification mode for Mexico product safety certification is: type testing + certification, period of validity is one year, certificate should be renewed by testing every year to maintain its validity.

nEnergy Consumption Label

From September 2011 on, all the 186 kinds of products on the list of compulsory certification shall be marked with energy consumption label before being sold in Mexico. Specific products, please consult our staff.

2、 NOM Mark classification

There are two kinds of Mexico validation units can be issued by the NOM Mark.
- NOM NYCE： Validation scope includes all of the electronic and information products and information processing equipment, but not including appliances (except the microwave)
- NOM ANCE： Validation scope includes all the appliances and similar products (such as household appliances)
